President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune chairs Council of Ministers meeting.( APS,16/06/2025)

ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired on Sunday, a Council of Ministers meeting devoted to presentations concerning the preparations for the summer season, the reception of the national community established abroad and the agriculture and solidarity sectors, the Presidency of the Republic said in a press release.

“The President of the Republic, the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired on Sunday, a Council of Ministers meeting devoted to presentations covering notably the preparations for the summer season, the reception arrangements for the national community established abroad, the 2025 harvest-threshing campaign, the mechanisms for taking care of women victims of violence and the conditions and modalities for benefiting from the productive family program,” said the press release.

"The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, chaired today a meeting of the Council of Ministers devoted to presentations covering in particular the preparations for the summer season, the arrangements for welcoming the national community established abroad, the 2025 harvest season, the mechanisms for supporting women victims of violence and the conditions and modalities for benefiting from the productive family program.

Following the Prime Minister's presentation of the Government's activities over the past two weeks, and following the ministers' remarks regarding the agenda, the President of the Republic issued the following instructions, directives, and guidelines:

Regarding the 2025 harvest season:

- The President ordered that rigorous efforts be made to achieve better results during the 2025 harvest season than those recorded during the 2024 season, and that a meeting be held at the end of the harvest to thoroughly evaluate the results achieved and the efforts made by farmers and sector managers.

- The President ordered that the organizational chart for implementing agricultural sector plans be renewed and better structured.

- This structuring should involve the various sub-departments, highlighting those who have truly made efforts on the ground and not those who have been just showing up. Regarding preparations for the summer season and arrangements for welcoming the national community living abroad:

- The President of the Republic emphasized the need to take all necessary measures and arrangements to ensure better care and provide useful services to members of our national community at airports and ports, through the implementation of facilitations for Algerian passport holders to simplify their entry into the country throughout the summer season.

Regarding the conditions and procedures for benefiting from the Productive Family Program:

- The President of the Republic affirmed that this support and guidance are a duty to Algerian women, who have continually made sacrifices and done everything in their power alongside their male counterparts.

- The President of the Republic praised the high repayment rate of loans granted to women, considering this an indicator of discipline, honesty, and rigor in the success of productive family projects, which demonstrate their social profitability, thus proving that Algerian women truly constitute half of society.

- The President directed that this program be the best way to liberate Algerian women, within the framework of our traditions and customs, so that they may brilliantly assert themselves on the political scene and in economic development, thus instilling in society as a whole a dynamic that encourages it to create wealth at modest and intermediate levels, but in a highly efficient manner. - The President urged increased support for women with productive family projects and the opening of more opportunities for these families to expand their activities and continue this momentum until the emergence of a true economic bloc, recognized in the Algerian economic sector as influential in society.

- Rural women must enjoy constant encouragement, particularly with the increasing demand for Algerian handicrafts, both nationally and internationally, as confirmed by the impressive results of various international events and fairs.

Regarding support mechanisms for women victims of violence:

- The President of the Republic emphasized the importance of continuing to focus on the role and place of women in our society, which increasingly recognizes their contribution to consolidating and strengthening social ties, on the one hand, and their contribution to further promoting their rights in various areas, on the other.

At the end of the meeting, the Council of Ministers approved decrees terminating senior government positions.
